Unrecognized Transactions & Disputes

Often a single unauthorized charge is simply a merchant error and contacting the merchant should resolve the error quickly. However, if you think your debit card number is being used fraudulently, call us as soon as possible at (833)-995-2888.  You can also login to Digital Banking and send us a message for assistance.

If you received an alert asking you to confirm a transaction, please call the number listed in the alert to receive further assistance. 

Some merchants bill under a name that’s different than the one they operate under. The receipt may help you in recognizing the charge as one you authorized. If you still don’t recognize the name or have other questions about the transaction, you should contact the merchant directly. When you question a particular transaction you believe may be an error, that’s known as a debit card dispute. Types of transactions that can be disputed are:

  • Charges listing the wrong amount or date
  • Duplicate charges
  • Charges for services or goods you did not accept or were not delivered as agreed
  • Failure to post credits, such as returns
  • Charges you ask for an explanation or written proof of purchase for
